This Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how Dateability (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, stores, and manages your personal information when you use our website at www.dateabilityapp.com (“Site”), our mobile application (“App”), and any related services, tools, or applications (collectively, the “Services”).

If we change our practices for collecting, using, or sharing personal information, we will notify you through email and/or by posting a notice of an updated Privacy Policy on our App and Site. Our Services are for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. By using the Services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect or store personal information from individuals under the age of 18, and if you are under 18, please do not use or interact with the App, Site, or Services in any manner.

  4. Location Data: With your permission, we collect your device’s location data to enable location-based features like showing nearby users. You can manage location permissions at any time in your device’s privacy settings.
  5. Device and Browser Information: When you use the App or Site, we may automatically collect information about your device, such as your IP address, device type, operating system, and browser type. This helps us maintain and enhance the Services’ functionality and security.
  6. Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized data about your interactions with the App and Site.   7. Social Media IDs: We provide you with the option to register with us using your existing social media account details such as Facebook, X (Twitter), What’s App, or other social media account(s). If you choose to connect to the App this way, we will collect your social media account IDs when you provide these to us. We do this so that we can better provide you with the Services in the App.
  8. Sensitive Information: Dateability is committed to fostering a welcoming community. You may choose to provide sensitive information, such as your health and wellness information, sexual orientation, race, ethnic origin, religious beliefs, or other identifiers that you choose to provide and to help you connect with others in our community in the App. We use this information solely to provide our Services, and by sharing it, you agree to our handling of this sensitive data.

          We may collect personal information about you from third-party sources such as your social media accounts, if you give us access to do so.

How We Use the Information We Collect

Your information is used to create a safe and engaging experience on Dateability. Specifically, we use your information to:

  • Provide Core Services: Your personal information allows us to manage your profile, match you with other users, and facilitate in-app messaging, creating a space for meaningful connections.

We may also share your information in the event of a transfer of our business to another party, such as in the event of a merger, sale, financing, or acquisition, any of our affiliates, business partners to offer you other products, services, or promotions we think may be of value to you, or other users if you interact within the App, these interactions are viewable by others users of the App. Keep in mind too that if you interact with other users of the App through other social networks, those individuals will be able to see the information you share on that social network and your activity, just as they will be able to do so for your profile and activity within our App. If you connect with another third party website through our App, we are not responsible for, and have no control over that third party website or app. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any third-party website, service, or application.

Third Party Analytics Tools

We use Google technologies such as Admob and Adsense to show ads in the App. These technologies collect data and use a unique identifier on your device to show relevant ads for you. As a user, you can disable these personalized ads on your device. Taking this action will not impact your experience in using the App in any way, but it will mean that may be shown advertisements that are not relevant to you. Dateability operates in the United States, and your data may be transferred internationally. When we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on the following safeguards:

  • Adequacy Decisions: We rely on adequacy decisions by regulatory bodies such as the European Commission (EC) and the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), which ensure data protection standards in approved countries.

This Privacy Notice for California Residents supplements the information contained in the Dateability Privacy Policy and provides information on additional rights that visitors, users, and others who reside in the State of California (“consumers” or “you”) are entitled to under California privacy laws. We cannot respond if we cannot verify your identity. Making a verifiable request does not require an account.

Response Timing and Format

We aim to respond within 45 days of receiving your request. If we need more time (up to 90 days), we will notify you of the reason and extension period in writing. If you have an account, we will deliver our response to the registered email; otherwise, we will respond via your preferred method (mail or email). Responses cover the 12-month period preceding the request. For data portability, we will use a format that allows easy transfer of information.

We do not charge a fee for requests unless they are excessive, repetitive, or unfounded. If a fee is required, we will explain the decision and provide an estimate before completing your request.

Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any CCPA rights. Unless permitted by the CCPA, we will not:
