Celebrating One Year of Dateability
Today, we are celebrating Dateability’s first birthday! On October 21, 2022, Dateability launched across North America. We are so proud of our accomplishments, and we could not have done it without our wonderful community and supporters.
In the last year, Dateability has been featured in great publications, such as The Washington Post, Forbes, NPR, Fast Company, and many more. We have been so fortunate to share our story with the world and the feedback we receive is wonderful. It has been an honor to share my story and see how many people actually relate to it! Before this, I rarely got vulnerable about my experiences as a disabled person (and specifically in the dating space), but through Dateability, I’ve been “forced” to do so. Sharing my story has truly changed my life– I have met so many people who share similar experiences and I don’t feel so alone anymore. I’m really grateful for the friends I have made throughout this journey.
We have created a wonderful community on Dateability. We have users all over North America making connections, whether that be platonic or romantic! Our users are so relieved to finally have a safe and inclusive space to meet people with shared experiences. We continue to grow each day and we’re on our way to being the go-to platform for disabled and chronically ill people.
Since launching, we have improved Dateability’s technology. We have released many updates and new features, including optional profile verification, a “looking for” section, and overall improvements to make the app run more smoothly. As a new app, we are so proud of our product and we are extremely grateful for our wonderful and talented tech team. We have also participated in two accelerators (Tampa Bay Wave and ATS Labs) and we continue to learn the ways of entrepreneurship.
We are so thrilled to celebrate one year of Dateability and we are even more excited for our future. We have big plans for the brand and we can’t wait to share it with you all. From the bottoms of our hearts, thank you– your support means the world and we couldn’t do it without you.
All our best,
Jacqueline and Alexa Child
